The second raw material is mainly obtained from the recycling of processing scraps from yarn industry and from polymers producers (post-industrial). Due to the low amount of post-consumer recovered material, there are no large-scale examples of recycled PMMA use and is therefore difficult to talk about the characteristics that distinguish it. The UNI standards are a reference as regards the maximum tolerable values of impurities or unwanted materials.
