Material made from 100% northern spruce and pine fluff pulp, sourced from sustainably managed forests.
It is a soft absorbent material that is well suited for application in hygiene products such as baby diapers but is equally as suited for use in different air-laid nonwovens such as napkins, food pads and products used in the medical sector.
It is available in two versions: bleached and unbleached.
The bleached version uses elemental chlorine-free (ECF) and total chlorine-free (TCF) technologies, and meet the safety regulations for the food and hygiene industries.
The unbleached version uses oxygen to remove the lignin. As a result, this fluff pulp is of a warm natural beige colour and has a roughly 30% lower carbon footprint in comparison to traditional fluff pulp, but its performance isn’t altered.
