Material composed of 85% recycled granite and 15% biocement. The calcium carbonate biocement consists of inorganic crystals formed by the bacteria at ambient temperatures. The bacteria typically create cemented materials over hundreds or thousands of years, but the process enables them to do the same work in a matter of days.
Recycled aggregates are cleaned and mixed with bacteria and nutrients, before being pressed into prefabricated moulds.
The tiles are fed with a patented nutrient mixture of cement-forming components.
The resulting precast product has a low carbon footprint and exceed the physical properties of standard materials for compressive strength, absorption, freeze-thaw, adhesion, and dimensional tolerance.
Available in brushed, honed and polished finishes, it is perfect for exterior and interior, vertical and horizontal use in commercial, institutional, and residential building projects.
