Material made of 100% post-industrial and post-consumer recycled glass rejects from industrial production and bottle glass
Through processes of crushing and classification, the scrap flat glass is transformed into glass granulates. Using a mixing process the glass granulates are shaped into panels and then sintered. Subsequently the sintered panels are placed into cooling hoods and cooled under controlled conditions. In the finishing process the raw panels are calibrated, on request they can be polished and cut.
The material acquires a unique translucent optic that allows a crystal-like brilliance effect when shone upon by light.
It finds use as a cladding or countertop.
