We are happy to have won the Greenadopt call of Gemstone Eurocluster with the project CIR-ME: CIRcular MEasurements for furniture products.
The goal of this project is to enable Mondo Espansi to adopt a circularity measurement methodology for designing furniture padding solutions. The circularity measurement methodology makes use of CircularTool, a tool developed by Matrec will allow Mondo Espansi to assess environmental characteristics of materials and processes used in padding solutions, in relation to the end product’s life cycle.
The methodology will allow the comparison of environmental aspects of different materials used, enabling suggestions for the most circular padding solution.
The evaluation will consider an input-output approach, taking as a reference the main circularity KPIs as indicated by the proposal of Ecodesign Sustainable Product Regulation (ESPR).
