We are proud and happy to be one of the winners of the EUROCLUSTERS RE-CENTRE call for proposals with the project Cir-Pad: Circularity and Innovation For Furniture Products Padding.
The next nine months we will be researching and developing new padding solutions for the furniture industry. A project that we will carry out in cooperation with Mondo Espansi.
The project aims to arrive at an innovative, circular padding solution that will be presented to a series of furniture companies.
New organic, recycled and certified materials will be researched and tested which, when properly processed, can provide the same resilience as traditional padding on the market. Cir-Pad is a challenge towards new circular design solutions for the furniture industry. The materials and solutions developed will be measured in terms of circularity with Matrec’s CircularTool.
