An important Italian kitchen manufacturer has set itself the objective to evaluate and improve the circularity and sustainability of the materials used for its production.
Through Circular Materials Mapping an in-depth analysis of all environmental aspects of materials has been carried out considering the entire life cycle of the kitchen.
The replacement of some materials has permitted to reduce the amount of natural resources used for products production and to enhance the value of end-of-life materials in terms of recycling.
The project has also enhanced the maintenance aspects of the kitchen.
The Circular Materials Mapping analysis was carried out considering the requirements of the main international reference standards about circular economy, the CAM of the Ministry of the Environment and the Technical Specification for the certification of circularity developed by Bureau Veritas.
