The material and economic circularity of some sportswear clothes was measured, starting with the yarn and ending with the definition of three different end-of-life scenarios. Thanks to the results obtained from the economic circularity, it was been possible to identify new solutions for the use of production waste, reducing production costs and evaluating materials alternatives for clothing accessories.
In addition, the environmental and economic benefits for new market strategies were evaluated, with the transition from the sale of the product to the service.
The participation of supply chain companies to the project have permetted to assess the possibilities of sustainable innovation in products and packaging.
