Radici Group, Save The Duck and Vibram, three Italian excellences in the textile sector, have joined forces to create the pilot project of a backpack made of recycled and end-of-life recyclable materials.
The fabric is made of certified recycled polyamide and allows significant savings in terms of energy use (-87.4%), CO2 emissions (-89.3%) and water consumption (-90.4%). The body of the backpack is made of polyamide produced with a woven technology to give it strength.
For the rubber components, such as the pad, material from Vibram’s production waste was used.
The backpack was designed to be made from only two separate materials and conceived to be disassemblable, with the aim of facilitating the recycling of individual materials at the end of their life.
