Bio-plastic packaging for medicines

Bio-plastic packaging used in the pharmaceutical sector, made from over 90% materials from renewable sources, whose production is based on the application of certified good agricultural practices.
The bio-polymers consist of corn, cellulose or sugar cane, the ethanol contained is converted into “green ethylene” and the subsequent polymerization process creates bio-PE and bio-PP.
This circular material gives water vapour resistance properties, thus extending the shelf life of the medicines contained in the pack. Bio-plastic packaging contributes to the preservation of fossil resources and reducing the carbon footprint compared to conventional packaging.
