Pandora’s circular economy strategy assumes that by 2025 all jewelry collections will be made entirely of recycled silver and gold. The company will therefore no use recently mined materials, with the aim of reducing the resulting carbon emissions and provide for the increasing scarcity of natural resources. The intention is to exploit the full potential of gold and silver as materials that can be recycled indefinitely without losing their characteristics and quality.
Currently the material capital of the company is already characterized by the presence of recycled materials, in fact over 71% of the gold and silver used for the production of jewelry comes from recycled sources.
The well-known brand also aspires to involve the entire supply chain, working proactively with its suppliers in search of solutions and opportunities to increase the availability of recycled silver.
Consistent with the path of sustainability undertaken, by the end of 2020 the production sites will be 100% powered by energy from renewable sources.
