A Swiss luxury watch company has chosen to package its watches with compostable packaging made in cooperation with an external partner.
The box is made of seaweed biomass, a circular material as a renewable resource characterised by rapid growth.
The pack easily biodegrades in nature in just 4-6 weeks, without the need for industrial composting or special conditions.
The collaboration came about with the intention of bringing innovation to the field of disposable packaging, in search of a replacement for plastic.
