Concept of circular vacuum cleaner for Miele

A new, circular approach to design, attentive to the use of materials, disassemblability of components and end-of-life of the product
This is the new vacuum cleaner design that Miele, a German home appliance company, will unveil for the first time at IFA.
The company’s desire is to conserve resources, reduce its carbon footprint and strengthen its competitiveness against competitors.
“Vooper” is a wireless vacuum cleaner with a fully modular design.
Unlike most household appliances, in which many different types of plastic glued together in inseparable bonds are often used, making complete recovery and recycling impossible; Miele’s new vacuum cleaner employs just a few polymer types, which can also be separated from each other, allowing for a higher product recycling rate.
The use of reversible plug-in and screw connections allows valuable materials to be almost completely recycled at the end of their life cycle.
The company also favored the use of materials derived from recycling processes.
