Logitech, a leading consumer electronics company, has strengthened its sustainability strategy with new emissions reduction targets, with a particular focus on plastics.
By the end of 2021, Logitech is committed to enriching its material capital with plastics with post-consumer recycled content and facing new product design challenges.
To maximize the reduction of environmental impact, the company has prioritized product lines with higher sales volumes such as mice, keyboards, webcams and speakers to reach the target of at least 50% of mice and keyboards made from recycled materials by 2021. This target would allow the group to eliminate the use of 7,100 tonnes of virgin plastic and 11,000 tonnes of carbon footprint per year.
