Las Vegas, Nevada, has just been presented the Circular Collection by BaYou with Love and Dell designed by Nikki Reed.
This is a 14 to 18 carat gold jewelry collection (rings, earrings and cufflinks) made from recycled gold responsibly extracted from used technology recovered from Dell’s recycling programs.
Now only around 12.5% of electronics are recycled globally. In phones alone Americans throw away more than $60 million in gold and/or silver every year.
For this reason Dell have started a process for extracting gold from old computer motherboards that is 99% more environmentally friendly than extracting gold from the earth.
The project denotes Dell’s philosophy, dedicated to reuse resources, use of circular materials and strive for zero waste.
