Renault presented to the market the evolution of its Scenic family car, featuring a concept that represents the group’s commitment to a sustainable development path.
An electric car incorporating the principles of circular economy, its bodywork is made from 95 per cent recycled aluminium and structural parts from recycled steel, lightweight materials that reduce the weight of the vehicle to the benefit of energy efficiency. The bumper and grilles are made of 75% recycled plastic while the lower parts are made of carbon fibre, a by-product of the aeronautical industry.
The car’s windows are made of recycled glass for the first time in Renault.
For the interior, 100 per cent recycled aluminium was used, and the floor is made of recycled plastic from bottles and pipes.
