Technogym’s Excite line in recycled plastic

Technogym’s new generation of Excite fitness equipment has just been unveiled, a new line designed to reduce environmental impact right from the production stage.
Thanks to the cooperation with Sirmax, the plastic components contain an ABS-based thermoplastic resin, characterised by a circularity rate of 60 %, from the mechanical recycling of household waste and electrical and electronic components.
The use of this raw material makes it possible to recover, for each tool produced, an average of 7 kg of plastic otherwise destined for landfill, resulting in an average CO2 reduction of 50% compared to the use of 100% virgin components.
The packaging also follows the principles of circular economy; 100% of the wood and up to 70% of the cardboard come from traceable resources, while all graphics are printed with water-based ink.
